The death has occurred of Michael O’Keeffe, Roscrea, Tipperary / Borris Lodge Nursing Home, Borris, Co Carlow.

Michael (Mick) O’Keeffe, formerly of Cluain Ard, Limerick Road, Roscrea, Co Tipperary, died peacefully in St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on the 18th October 2025, in his 94th year, surrounded by his loving family. Previously in the wonderful care of Joanna, Kathleen and all the staff of Borris Lodge Nursing Home, Borris, Co Carlow. Pre-deceased by his wife Peg, sons Michel and Denis.

Sadly missed by his loving family, daughters Aileen and Edel, sons Jimmy, Liam, Martin, Darragh and Conrad, son-in-law Kieron, and Conrad’s partner Martin, daughters-in-law Mary, Helen, Mairead, Anabel and Hayley, grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, R95 DV76, Borris, Co Carlow, on Tuesday 21st October 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00pm.

Michael’s Requiem Mass will take place on Wednesday 22nd October 2025 at 12:00 noon in St Cronan’s Church, E53 PK82, Roscrea, Co Tipperary, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Nora Hickey (née Mullhall), Ballinvalley, Borris, Co Carlow, /(formerly 3 Watergate, Kilkenny) / Tipperary.

Nora died unexpectedly on 5th October 2025 at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Margaret (Mellison, Glengoole).

Beloved wife of John and loving mother of Joe, Michael, Brid, Patrick, Eoin and Margaret, beloved sister of John and Mary (Ryan). Nora will be sadly missed by John, her children, grandchildren Johanna-Leni, Sadhbh and Shay, daughters-in-law Lisa and Marleigh, brothers-in-law Michael and Seamus, sisters-in-law Margaret, Siobhan and Mary, nephews, nieces, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, from 1:30 pm on Wednesday, 8th October 2025, with funeral prayers at 6:00 pm, followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Borris, for reception prayers at 7:00 pm.

Nora’s Requiem Mass will be at 11:00 am on Thursday morning, 9th October 2025, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Borris.

The death has occurred of Seamus (Shem) Kelly, Ballyine House, Borris, Co Carlow.

Shem died peacefully at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, on Friday, 26th September 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, his children Martin, Niamh, Grainne, Seamus, Deirdre and Fiona, brothers Fr. Sean and Aidan, his 14 grandchildren, daughters-in-law Mary-Paula and Gillian, sons-in-law Cormac, Patrick, Robbie and Damien, sisters-in-law Maureen, Nola and Gretta, brothers-in-law Seamus and Harry, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his sisters Mary and Kate, brother Martin and brother-in-law John.
