The death has occurred of John Joe Hickey, Rocksavage, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow – and recently of Main Street, Borris, Co Carlow .
John Joe died peacefully on 30th September 2023 in the company of his family and in the loving care of the staff at University Hospital, Waterford. Previously in St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. He is pre-deceased by his beloved parents Patrick and Margaret, sisters Lizzy and Nan, and brothers Aidan and Pat.
John Joe will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his son Patrick, brother Jim, partner Syreia, extended family, Lil, daughter-in-law Peggie and his nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends .

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, 1st October 2023. Funeral will arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy, for Requiem Mass at 11:00 am on Monday, 2rd October 2023, followed immediately afterwards by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

John passed away, suddenly and peacefully, at his home in Slyguff on Sunday 24th September 2023. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Bessie, his children Catherine, Sean, Mary and Martina, sons-in-law Owen, Billy and Ger, daughter-in-law Donna, his loving brothers Liam and Frank, sister Kathleen, his adored ten grandchildren, Lauren, Conor, Emma, Erin, Kyle, Nina, Julian, Daithi, Lucy and Hannah, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm on Wednesday 27th September 2023, with Prayers at 6:00 pm. Removal on Thursday 28th September 2023 for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon in St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy, with interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Brigid Doran (née Doyle), Moycullen, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow.
Brigid passed away peacefully at home, in her 98th year, surrounded by her devoted family, on Tuesday, 12th September 2023. Beloved wife of the late Jim. Dear mother of Willie, Marty, Mina, Lily (Brennan), Kathleen (Ahern), Breda (Cunningham), Eileen (Kavanagh) and Patricia (Clancy). Daughters-in-law Catherine and Roseann, sons-in-law Jim, Michael, Vincent, Hugh and Sean. Her much loved 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, good neighbours and many friends. Predeceased by her sister Mary O’Dwyer and brothers John, Alec and Larry.

Marian Byrne (née Walsh) of 16 Woodlawn Park, Borris, Co Carlow, died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Predeceased by her parents and her sister Carmel. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband John, daughters Nicola and Lisa, son Ken, grandchildren Darragh, Ciara, Niamh, Ruby and Mia, brothers, sisters and a wide circle of friends.
