The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Spruhan, Coshill, Borris, Co Carlow

The death occurred on 9th September 2021 of Mick, beloved husband of Kathleen and cherished father of Paula, Breda and Michael. Predeceased by his sisters Bridgie and Mary. Sadly missed by his loving wife, son and daughters, sons-in-law Paul and Raymond, adored grandchildren Jimí and Caitlin, adored brothers Jimmy, Tommy, John and Eamonn, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

Funeral Mass for Mick will take place on Sunday, 12th September 2021, at 3:00 pm in the Sacred Heart Church, Borris, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Under the most recent HSE/Government guidelines, the capacity in the church is restricted to 50%, and social distancing guideline still apply.

The death has occurred of Anna-Marie (Babs) Doyle (née Kavanagh), Carrignafecka, Garryhill, Co Carlow – Formerly from Liselican, Borris. Co Carlow

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at St Brigid’s Ward, St Columba’s Hospital, Thomastown. Pre-deceased by her husband Paddy and her daughter-in-law Brigid. Beloved mother of Patricia, John, Martin and Kenneth. Deeply regretted by her daughter, sons, grandchildren Patrick and Cathy, Conor and Aaron, Katie, Anna and Jack, daughters-in-law Eleanor and Triona, sisters Hannah (Cissie), Betty and Eileen, brother-in-law Martin, and cousin Tom Murphy, nieces, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and many friends.

In compliance with Government advice regarding public gatherings, Bab’s Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 11:00 am in St Lazerian’s Church, Drumphea, (for a maximum of 50 people) followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.  The Mass can be viewed at This Link.

Biddy Murphy
August 11, 2021

The death has occurred of Bridget (Biddy) Murphy, Inch, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow.

Bridget (Biddy) passed away peacefully on 11th August 2021 in St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved sister of Tom, Christy, Jim, Nora, Ann and Greg. Predeceased by her parents and brothers Paddy and Pierce. She will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, sisters-in-law Nellie and Bernie, her nieces and nephews, grandnephews and grandnieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Rest In Peace.

Biddy’s funeral will take place in accordance with HSE guidelines. Removal prayers at Biddy’s family home, Inch, Ballymurphy, at 10:00 am on Saturday, 14th August 2021, followed by Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy, at 11:00 am. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Tony Murphy, Pound Lane, Borris, Co Carlow

Tony Murphy, formerly from Killedmond, passed away peacefully at his residence in Pound Lane, Borris, on 7th August 2021.

Tony will be sadly missed by his loving family, neighbours and many friends.

Tony’s funeral cortege will leave Breen’s Funeral Home, Borris, on Wednesday, 11th August 2021, arriving at St Fortchern’s Church, Rathanna, for 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass.
