The death has occurred of Iris Byrne, Cournellan, Borris, Co Carlow.

Iris Byrne (née James), Cournellan, Borris, Co Carlow, and formerly of Liverpool, England, passed away peacefully on 9th June 2025, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her son Gerard. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband Pat, son Sean and daughter Carmel, their partners Ann and James, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her cousins Charles and Michael, sisters-in-law Nancy and Kathleen, brother-in-law Simon, her extended family and a large circle of friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing in Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, on Wednesday 11th June 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday 12th June at 12:00 noon in St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy (Eircode R95 HR28). Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
