The death has occurred of Pat Murphy, Tinnecarrig, Borris, Co Carlow, R95 V215.
Peacefully, at Borris Lodge Nursing Home, on 13th September 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Retired member of An Garda Siochana. Predeceased by his sisters Rosie, Brigid and brother Michael. Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, daughter Aoife, son Eoghan, son-in-law Michael, daughter-in-law Alice, grandchildren Finn, Teidí and Sonny, brothers, sisters, in-laws, relatives and many friends.
Rest In Peace
Reposing at his residence in Tinnecarrig (R95 V215) from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, 15th September 2026. Pausing for prayers at 6:30 pm.
Funeral will arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy, for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, 16th September 2026, followed by interment afterwards in St Mullins Cemetery.

Joe Kealy, Carlow - formerly Ballymartin

The death has occurred of Joe Kealy, New Oak Estate, Carlow / Ballymartin, Borris, Co Carlow.
Joe Kealy, 175 New Oak Estate, Carlow, and formerly of Ballymartin, Borris, Co Carlow, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on 27th August 2026, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.
Beloved husband of the late Brigid (Biddy), much loved father of Pat, James and Joe, adored grandfather of Kelley-Anne, Graham, Craig, Jamie, Patrick, Roísín, and Maria Clare and adored great-grandfather of Cara, Joey, Maya, Leah, Jamie, Daisy, Shauna, Skyler and Ivey Grace.
Joe will be sadly missed by his loving sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Susan, Eileen and Sylvia, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends.
Rest In Peace
Joe will repose at Carpenter Brothers Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) from 2:00 pm on Sunday, 30th August, with removal that evening at 6:30 pm to The Holy Family Church, Askea, arriving for Reception Prayers at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11:00 am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

James (Jim) Doran, Formerly Walshsetown, Ballymurphy

The death has occurred of James (Jim) Doran, Borris Road, Kiltealy, Co Wexford / Borris, Co Carlow / Waterford.
Formerly of Walshsetown, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow and Ard-na-Greine, Waterford. James passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on 25th August 2026. Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret and Michael Doran. Much loved father of Barry, Lorraine, Brian and Leanne, beloved grandfather of Josh, Dylan, Cara, Bonnie and Luca . He will be sadly missed by his children and their mother Mary, his grandchildren, his daughter-in-law Georgina and sons-in-law Paul and Cian. Deeply regretted by his brothers Tom, Mick and Justin and his sisters Breda (Spruhan), Mary (Skelton), Eileen (Ormond) and Nora (Wallace), sister-in-law Jacqui, brothers-in-law Eamonn Spruhan, Noel Skelton, Willie Ormond and Billy Wallace, and his dear friend Ann. Lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephews, Aunt Ellie, relatives and friends and his four-legged friend Ned.

Funeral will arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy for Requiem Mass at 12:00 noon on Monday, 31st August 2026, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
