The death has occurred of Hugh Byrne, Spahill, Borris, Co Carlow / Tinahely, Co Wicklow
Hugh Byrne, Spahill, Borris, Co Carlow, and formerly of Rosbawn, Tinahely, Co Wicklow, passed away peacefully at home on 7th December 2025, in the loving care of his family after a long illness bravely borne with courage and incredible determination.
Predeceased by his father Paddy and mother Christine, and his brothers John and Nicholas.
Hugh’s passing is deeply regretted by his loving wife Bernie, his sons Colm and Hugh Paddy, daughter Katie, his cherished and adored grandchildren Noah and Kane, daughters-in-law Carmel and Aisling and son-in-law James. Also, his siblings Larry, Mary, Michael, Pam, Marcella, Paddy, Sinéad, Gonne, Colman, Eamonn and Donal, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and a large circle of wonderful friends.
Rest In Peace
Hugh will repose at his residence in Spahill (R95 WY20) on Tuesday 9th December 2025 from 1:00 pm, concluding with prayers at 8:00 pm. Removal from his residence on Wednesday 10th December 2025 to the Sacred Heart Church, Borris, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon, followed by interment in St Fortchern’s Cemetery, Rathanna.

The death has occurred of Anne McGee (née Somers), Knockmore, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow.
Anne died suddenly today 4th December 2025. Predeceased by her husbands Terry and Bill, and her sister Peggy. Sadly missed by her daughters Catherine and Joanne, sons-in-law Brian and Shane, brother Aidan, sisters Mary and Ellen, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, grand-children Barry, Rory, Cillian, Eoghan, Bill and Ava, great-grandson Theo, relatives and many friends.

The death has occurred of Teresa McGee (née Doyle), Monamolin, Rathnure, Enniscorthy / Formerly Kyle, Ballymurphy, Borris, Co Carlow.
Teresa died peacefully on Friday, 28th November 2025, surrounded by her loving family and in the wonderful care of the Staff of Killerig Nursing Home, Tullow. Teresa, predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick (Patsy) and daughter Aileen, siblings Michael, Paddy, John, Fr. Garry, Sr. Maria Goretti, Breda, Willie, Mary and James. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Siobhán, son Pat, sisters Peggy and Sr. Norah, brother Pierce, daughter-in-law Jane, grandchildren Ben, Ellie, Sam and his wife Trina, great-grandchild Méabh, sisters-in-law, and nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Michael, loving husband of Margaret, adored father of Jacqueline, Paula and Aisling and cherished grandfather of Liam and Emma. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, sons-in-law Greg, Micheál and Michael, brother Jim, sister Mary, brother-in-law Jim, sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.
