The death has occurred of Shannon Leitch, Borris, Co Carlow.

Shannon Leitch, Woodlawn Park, Borris, Co Carlow, died peacefully on 28th January 2026 in Carlow District Hospital.  Sadly missed by his mother Marie, uncle Michael, aunt Valarie, cousin Natalie and all his extended family and friends.

Shannon’s Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 am on Monday, 2nd February 2026, in the Sacred Heart Church, Borris, followed by private cremation.

No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to Carlow District Hospital who cared for Shannon in his final days.

The death has occurred of Crea Catherine Nolan, Ballynattin, Borris, Co Carlow / Longford / Dalkey, Co Dublin.

Crea Catherine Nolan, Ballynattin, Borris, Co Carlow and Rhynmount, Clondra, Co Longford, and formerly of Dalkey, Co Dublin, died on 28th January 2026 at her home in the presence of her loving husband. Crea was predeceased by her dear parents Maeve and Brian and will be deeply missed by her husband Patrick, daughters Kasia, Druime and Bebhinn, sons-in-law Tom and Noelie, granddaughters Pollyana, Phoebe, Charlotte and Summer, grandsons Ewyn, Thom Og and Culann, brother Keith, sisters Maeve and Darina, brother-in-law Eddie, nephews Boyce, Brian, Harry, Osgar, Cian and niece Sinead, and all her loving cousins and many friends at home and abroad.

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, Co Carlow (R95 DV76) from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, 1st February 2026.

Funeral will arrive at the the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, for cremation service at 12:15 pm on Monday, 2nd February 2026.

The death has occurred of Matthew (Matt) Keating, Portarlington, Co Laois / Ballymartin, Borris, Co Carlow

Matt died peacefully on 5th January 2026 in the wonderful care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Predeceased by his wife Joan, parents John and Mary, brothers Jack and Peter, sisters Mary and Patricia. Deeply regretted by his loving brother Eugene and his extended family and friends.

Reposing at Mahers Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (R32 X5XV) on Tuesday, 6th January 2026, from 6:00 pm with Rosary at 8:00 pm. Removal on Wednesday morning, 7th January 2026, at 9:20 am arriving at St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10:00 am. Internment immediately afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.
