The death has occurred of Catherine (Kitty) Byrne (née Doyle), Cournellan, Borris, Co Carlow, (R95 R272).

Kitty passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at Borris Lodge Nursing Home on Sunday, 28th January 2024. Predeceased by her husband Bill, her daughter Attracta, her brother Martin and sister Mary, also her daughters-in-law Mary and Eileen. Sadly missed by her loving sons Eddie, John and Liam, her daughters Breda (Tracey), Mary (Hanlon), Margaret (Joyce), Kay (Deegan) and Geraldine (Joyce), daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, her twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, very good neighbours, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at her residence in Cournellan, Borris, (R95 R272), today Monday, 29th January 2024, from 4:00 pm, and Tuesday, 30th January 2024, from 12:00 noon. Removal to St Patrick’s Church, Ballymurphy, on Tuesday evening to arrive for Funeral Prayers at 7:30 pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday morning, 31st January 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Byrne and the nurses and staff of Borris Lodge Nursing Home for the excellent care given to our Mam.
