The death has occurred of Philippa Gallagher, Knocksquire, Rathanna, Borris, Co Carlow.

Philippa, formerly of Hastings, Wellington and Auckland, New Zealand, died in her 67th year at home at her cottage Sceile Elle, on Wednesday 25th June 2025.

Partner of the late John Patrick Harvey and beloved mother of Daithí, Patrick and Isobel, mother-in-law of Alia. Daughter of the late James Allen and Aileen Rona Gallagher. Loved sister of Anne Watson, John, Michael, Brendan and Mary Gallagher and their spouses Doug, Julia, Sharyn, and Jane.

Philippa will be fondly remembered with respect and affection by her friends in New Zealand, in her home in the Carlow/East Kilkenny area, and her suppliers at Nicholas Mosse.

A committal service was held at Newlands Cross Crematorium, Dublin, on 4th July 2025 and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Father Rory Nolan at the Sacred Heart Church in Borris, on Friday 18th July 2025 at 7:30 p.m.
