The death has occurred of Michael (Mick) Walshe, Knocksquire, Borris, Co Carlow.

Michael died peacefully on 3rd November 2025 in the wonderful care of the staff at Borris Lodge Nursing Home. Predeceased by his brothers Pa, Billy and John and sister Brigid. Michael, loving husband of Margaret, adored father of Jacqueline, Paula and Aisling and cherished grandfather of Liam and Emma. Deeply regretted by his wife, daughters, sons-in-law Greg, Micheál and Michael, brother Jim, sister Mary, brother-in-law Jim, sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at Joyce’s Funeral Home, Borris, on Wednesday 5th November 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Requiem Mass at 11:00 am on Thursday 6th November 2025 in St Fortchern’s Church, Rathanna, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Margaret, Jacqueline, Paula, Aisling and the extended family, would like to thank most sincerely all those who looked after Michael in his home, allowing him to reside there for as long as was possible. Your kindness and patience will not be forgotten.
